PARTICIPATION OF THE STUDENTS OF THE EDUCATIONAL AND SCIENTIFIC INSTITUTE OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION AND CIVIL SERVICE IN THE GERMAN-UKRAINIAN SEMINAR IN BERLIN

From January 29 to February 2, 2023, students of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Public Administration and Civil Service Svitlana PALAMARCHUK, a 2nd-year student of the Bachelor's program, EP "Governance in the Public Sphere" and Kseniia OZERAN, a 1st-year student of the Master's program, EP "Public Service" participated in the German-Ukrainian student seminar, which was organized by the Institute's partner – the Berlin School of Economics and Law of the Federal Republic of Germany (Hochschule fur Wirtschaft und Recht Berlin) with the support of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The study trip was also attended by students of the Institue of Law of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

The program of the Seminar was focused on the following topics: russian aggression and the war in Ukraine, higher education in Ukraine during the war, Germany's support for Ukraine, the war in the German media, Ukraine's membership in the EU, and the fight against corruption.

Students of our Institute made presentations on the following topics: "The impact of the Russian-Ukrainian war on youth in Ukraine and my own experience" (Svitlana Palamarchuk) and "Difficulties faced by Ukrainian students studying during the war" (Kseniia Ozeran).

A cultural program was also organized for Ukrainian students, during which they discovered the city of Berlin with interest - the political, informational, cultural and scientific center of Europe and visited the Federal Parliament - the Bundestag.
